Quite a messy graphic! Cannibalizing one another! Eating the life out of each other to leave each a putrid, messy heap. Biting and devouring each other refers to how we disrespect each other, take advantage of one another, thrust our own selves first, ahead of others. We do it in many ways. Pursuing our own opinions, agendas and ambitions at the expense of others. Essentially failing to love others, and be self centred. What we sow, we reap. Living in such a way will eventually see us lonely, empty, full of regret, far from God and eternal life. How much more will that be when we feed ourselves on a diet of others’ flesh through porn? Most of the actors’ lives end up in drug addiction, shame, suicide. They are certainly devoured. And our flesh, so quickly satisfied by a luscious smorgasbord of body pieces, cannibalizes the life of our own spirit, diminishing hope, dignity, faith and love. Thank God Jesus descends into our pit, lifts us out and breathes His resurrection life into us! How much better to keep ourselves from the barbeque pit?!
